Electrical Competent Person

This training module provides a comprehensive guide to the Safe System of Work required for electrical maintenance and operations. It begins by addressing the risks of backfeeding from secondary power sources and the protocols for achieving physical isolation from the grid. Participants will then master the "test before touch" procedure to Prove Circuit Dead (PCD) using approved voltage indicators, followed by the application of a Circuit Main Earth (CME) to ensure a fail-safe path to the ground. The course concludes with the formal administrative process of Issuing a Permit to Works (PtW), which serves as the final verification that all safety measures are in place before any physical work begins.
